A Bit About the Artist Kathryn Kaiser

About the Artist - Kathryn Kaiser

Canadian figurative artist Kathryn Kaiser has been living in Ontario for over 40 years. She was born in Calgary Alberta, a long time ago. While in Alberta, Kathryn studied Fine Arts at the University of Lethbridge, as well as at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and the Banff School of Fine Arts. She completed a bachelors degree in Interior Design at Toronto Metropolitan University, in 1986 and continues to expand her art (and design) practice.

Kathryn continues to pursue mentorships and further her education in order to develop her skills and experience. She also works to advance her understanding of the human condition, as well as social issues, from differing viewpoints. Pushing to move outside her comfort zone is paramount in her development as an artist.

As a result of this passionate search for depth and meaning, her creative influences are expressive figurative artists like Jenny Savillle, Peter Doig, John Hartman and Chris Gwaltney. See Kathryn’s full bio here.
